THREE BACH' S MAXIMS
If you ask someone at random if he/she knows who is J.S. Bach, probably the answer would sound like “the best musician of all the times”, whereas if you meet a musician it is likely that he/she will point out that he was a German composer who lived between 1685 and 1750. So, we find out that there is a mix of admiration and complicity towards this important figure; he is respected by everyone without distinguishing tastes and similarities. J.S. Bach was really outstanding for occidental music, since he elaborated the well tempered tuning system and developed polyphony up to levels never reached before. For him - his own words – there were just three things in life: his family, god and music . Doesn't it sound like some present-day paradigm? (sex, drug and rock and roll).
