A SAME, DIFFERENT “WAY OF DOING"
As you know, the different political, social and religious changes that have been occurring throughout History have been accompanied by a determined artistic and cultural transformation, a direct reaction to these events.
Since the most remote Antiquity we can find phenomena of this kind; closer to the present day, it also occurred with the Russian artists of the first decades of the 20 th century. A society, the Russian one, whose transformation brought new plans in the artistic scene.
By collecting temporarily some of their pieces of work with the name of Russian Vanguards in the museum Thyssen Bornemisza and in the Room of the Alhajas –both in Madrid-, authors as Kandinsky, Malévich, Filónov, Ródchenko or El Lissitzky, among many others, share their own concerns with us through their work.
A change which, through a new way of doing, planned from various points of view and in order to meet several needs, required, one more time, a means of transmission as Art was and keeps being.
