Madrid

Museo Cerralbo. Calle Ventura Rodríguez, 17. Madrid

Among its educational activities, the Museo Cerralbo promotes a cycle of family activities for children six to twelve years old. Its goal is to help participants discover the nature of its collections through a variety of thematic workshops.

In the program hablarenarte: has designed for this cycle, workshops are preceded by a dynamic visit offering participants a relaxed and participative approach to the subjects addressed in each session.

In "Who lives here?", families visit the museum in order to discover separated spaces in  Nineteenth-Century households, and distinguish between male and female, or private and public rooms. They are also invited to learn how men and women lived in these old palaces according to their sexual difference.

The subsequent workshop encourages each family to travel back in time to design a room for childrens at Cerralbo's house, and try to imagine customs and practices of this spaces at Nineteenth-Century.
