Músicas memorables is a project created by hablarenarte and the musician, artist and educator Christian Fernández Mirón. It brings various groups of elders together in different locations in Spain (Pamplona, Valencia and Madrid), involving them as active agents in a musical project that mixes the traditional with the contemporary.

Christian Fernández Mirón will carry out three laboratories of “oral tradition" that will give value to memories, stories and songs proposed by the participants. After these meetings, an open sound archive of “memorable music” will be generated for highlighting the importance of oral tradition and popular songs for collective memory and contemporary creation.

In the last stage of the project, two other musicians, Le Parody and Julián Mayorga, together with Christian Fernández Mirón, will work collaboratively in the listening, reinterpretation and hybridization of the sound archive. Afterwards, they will compose and record a new repertoire that will also be part of the archive.

For closing the project, there will be a musical tour in cultural centers of the three cities where the laboratories were developed, for meeting the participating communities again.
