Publication of The New Dictionary of Old Ideas

In dialogue with the program of activities and the research process initiated with the project The New Dictionary of Old Ideas, hablarenarte presents in mid-October a publication with contributions from authors Marta Sanz Pastor, Mauro Gil Fournier, Adrián Almazán Gómez, Jiří Zak, Alejandra Gatti and Alba Folgado.

This publication brings together critical views on the axes that articulate the artists’ residency in Madrid and the latter exhibition in Prague in the form of new concepts: mask, progress, anaphora, replica or mirage. At the same time, it aims to contribute to the idea that runs through the whole project: how do you define a centre, an order or a way of perceiving?

The New Dictionary of Old Ideas is a European project that included research residencies in Planta Alta, Meetfactory, TRAFO and Silkmuseum. Nine selected artists presented their work in an exhibition at Meetfactory (Prague) and TRAFO (Szczecin) during the first half of 2020. Now, as a way to contextualize the project in Madrid, hablarenarte is organizing such publication and a program of parallel activities.
