Workshops for families "One Zodiac. Juan Navarro Baldeweg"

Madrid

Museo ICO. Calle Zorrilla, 3. Madrid

Can architects express their ideas through other artistic languages such as painting or sculpture? Have you ever contemplated an art installation? Is it possible to change the shape of a building with light?

The exhibition A Zodiac. Juan Navarro Baldeweg, at Museo ICO, invites you to discover the creative world of this renowned Spanish architect and artist on an exciting journey through his ideas. The show allows us to approach his multifaceted activity in the fields of architecture, painting, sculpture and installation through drawings, photographs, scale-models, sculptures, paintings...

The activity begins with a guided tour through the museum, where rooms have been converted into a large zodiac constellation. The visit explains how Baldeweg  works and what interests him: as for example the treatment of light or the idea of time passing by. In the subsequent workshop, and with reference to the ideas and concepts of this artist-architect, the families will conceive an artwork through new expressive languages. Each participant will also receive a didactic booklet published to accompany the exhibition.
