hablarenarte (www.hablarenarte.com) is an independent platform for projects that works to support the creation, publicizing dissemination and promotion of contemporary culture.

Among its areas of action, hablarenarte

  • Promotes the curating of exhibitions and visual and performing arts events on both a national and international level.
  • Conceives and develops programs for educational and mediation programs and cultural and social cooperation actions.
  • Disseminates national contemporary creation through publications, audiovisual media and international networks of professional cooperation.
  • Assesses and develops studies for public and private organisms and offers training courses in the area of cultural management.

hablarenarte does not have its own exhibition space. It always develops its projects in cooperation with public or private institutions and cultural agents interested in hosting and supporting its proposals.


[+] Laura Donis Quintana (Madrid)

Laura is taking care of the association’s transversal educational projects, particularly for the Empower Parents project, a network to provide parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with tools and learning resources within museum environments. Laura is a Social Worker, a postgraduate in family intervention programs and holds a Master in International Cooperation at the University of La Coruña (2008). She has participated in National State Observatories on education and has coordinated projects for learning intervention and social action in several countries of Latin America. She combines her work in the field of education and cultural management with photography projects, collaborating therein with several institutions in order to investigate the implementation of visual languages with people with intellectual disabilities.

[+] Ignacio González Cavero (Madrid)

Ignacio is in charge of designing and implementing the educational programs of hablarenarte. He holds a PhD in Art History from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2013), where he is also part-time associate professor in the Department of History and Theory of Art. He combines this work with academic research, publications, lectures and courses. He previously worked at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, and in the project “Implementation and Monitoring of the Art History Degree” at the Department of History and Theory of Art (UAM).

[+] Flavia Introzzi (Buenos Aires)

Flavia is in charge of the conceptualization and coordination of projects as Curators' Network (www.curators-network.eu) and a3bandas (www.a3bandas.org). She also works for creating networks and strategic partnerships on a national and international level. She graduated in Sociology of Culture at the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Masters in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture (MNCARS, UCM, UAM). Before joining the association, Flavia developed projects for both public and private institutions (Intermediae - Matadero Madrid, Carolina and Casa del Lector Foundation) as well as for independent or private initiatives (such as Factum Arte or the off-space Off Limits).

[+] Elena Pavón García (Madrid)

Elena is part of the association's educational team. She takes part in the design and implementation of the workshop visits to centers and museums including the ICO Museum, Cerralbo Museum and Casa del Lector. She partakes as well in the design and production of educational materials for schools, families, teenagers, children and other groups. Elena holds a Degree of Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and is a trained film-editor. She combines her role as educator in hablarenarte with working as a Recreational Activities Coordinator and a College Library Assistant.

[+] Georg Zolchow (Berlin)

Georg is responsible for conceptualizing and coordinating projects as CAPP and Curators' Network. He is also in charge of developing new projects for the association. He holds a degree in Art History and Philosophy from the Freie Universität Berlin. Georg is specialized in art in public space and curated among others the urban art festival Conquer the Concrete (Chennai, India, 2015) and the exhibition Sabaudia – Redefining Utopia (Madrid, 2014). He also worked as an independent project coordinator for cultural institutions (La Casa Encendida, Instituto Cervantes and Goethe-Institut, a.o.).

[+] Florencia Fergnani (Buenos Aires)

Florencia takes care of the coordination of cultural activities in hablarenarte. She holds a Degree of Fine Arts from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and a Master of Cultural Management. She has collaborated in private and public institutions such as the Culture Department of Instituto Cervantes (Madrid), DKV Seguros Art Programme (Valencia), Cultural Arts Center of the Town Hall of Alboraya, among others.

[+] Miguel Díaz (Ponferrada)

Miguel takes part of the education team of the association, developing and carrying out educational activities at the ICO Museum for school children, families, youngsters and people with functional diversity. He also participates in the design of educational materials on architecture and in the teachers' work group. He is an Architect, postgraduate in Land Planning and Development and in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate. Actively involved in various projects and forums on education in architecture, industrial heritage and universal accessibility in built environments.

[+] Carmen Mateos (Madrid)

For more than 10 years her career has focused on arts project development and management where she has collaborated with major European and Spanish institutions, such as the European Commission, the Ministry of Culture of Spain, Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), Reina Sofía Museum or Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. To date, she has conceptualised and coordinated international projects such as Romani Lives or Creativity:Innovative Models of Production and access which were funded by the European Commission. In hablarenarte she works to start new international projects such as Dinamo or Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities, in the development ofgrant programmes, and in financial and administration management.

hablarenarte is a non-profit association listed in the Roster of Associations of the Community of Madrid as number 23,729, with headquarters at calle Atocha 91, 1º dcha. ext., 28102 Madrid.
