For the first time, twenty years alter its beginning, the Music Day was carried out in Madrid , during a whole day. Every kind of music was played at Circulo de Bellas Artes on Friday 21 st of July 2002 .

In 1982 the French Ministry of Culture started to develop the idea of the creation of an international day dedicated to music through a series of highly entertaining events. A meeting where ages and social categories don't matter, where the whole population joins together to enjoy live music of any kind. A day, coinciding with the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, which will attract all of the cities and towns under the common denominator of music. During twenty years, the Music Day has broken the French borders, it has extended to more than 110 countries in the whole world and has turned into the European Day of Music .+ info

In October 2002 Asociación Hablar en Arte bet for the creation of a theatre group named “ La Silla Amarilla ”, formed by 11 young actors and theatrical designer. With the technical and juridical support of the association, “La silla amarilla” could make its way in the scene of Madrid , from making its first steps up to getting to be autonomous as independent theatre company in 2003.

Fulfilling its aims, that include developing, researching, protecting and promoting activities and research projects related to visual, performing, and audiovisual forms of art, Asociación Hablar en Arte supports the creation of new creative platforms which stimulate the promotion of the cultural activity, as the 4 th article of its Statute declares. Following these parameters, in the middle of 2002 the association accepts the project of foundation of the Theatre group “La silla amarilla” as dependent group of the association, in a mutual interest of work. + info

Framed within the European official announcement Cultura 2000, the cultural space of meeting “Mundo Árabe” realized from the 20 th to the 29 th of December 2002 a series of activities related to various cultural initiatives of Arab origin .

With the subtitle Conocimiento, arte y cultura , and focusing on different artistic disciplines (music, photography, plastic art, dance, cooking) and other parallel activities, this Cultural meeting permitted to approach to this culture, which also belongs to us, without prejudices and stereotypes .+ info
