CENTROS DE PARTICIPACIÓN E INTEGRACIÓN PARA INMIGRANTES DE MADRID.
Until December 2008

Seven Centers of Participation and Integration for Immigrants in Madrid (Centros de Participación e Integración para Inmigrantes de Madrid —CEPIs) will have coexistence workshops called “Juntos a través del arte” (Together Through Art), a project of integration through artistic activities. “Juntos a través del arte” is a multidisciplinary program intended for Spanish and immigrant children between 6 and 13 years of age. The program is divided into three parts: creative work with an artist; development of the artworks in different fields; and an exposition of the finished works .

“Juntos a través del arte” takes place in the following CEPIs: Hispano-Boliviano (Hispanic-Bolivian), Hispano-Ecuatoriano (Hispanic-Ecuadorian), Hispano-Colombiano (Hispanic-Colombian), Hispano-Americano (Hispanic-American), Hispano-Búlgaro (Hispanic-Bulgarian) and Hispano-Centroamericano (Hispanic-Central American).

“ Juntos a través del arte” relies on “Help for the Social Integration of Immigrants” from the ICO Foundation.

PROGRAMMING

Hispanic-American CEPI: Saturdays in April, May and June 2008, morning schedule (from 11 am to 2 pm).

Hispanic-Bolivian CEPI: Fridays in October, November and December 2008, afternoon schedule (from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm).

Hispanic-Bulgarian CEPI: Fridays in April, May and June 2008, afternoon schedule (from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm ).

Hispanic-Columbian CEPI: Saturdays in April, May and June 2008, morning schedule (from 11 am to 2 pm, for ages 6 to 9) and afternoon schedule (from 4 to 7 pm, for ages 10 to 13).

Hispanic-Dominican CEPI: Saturdays in October, November and December 2008, morning schedule (from 10 to 12 am for ages 6 to 9, and from 12 to 2 pm for ages 10 to 13 ).

Hispanic-Ecuadorian CEPI: During Holy Week, March 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19, morning schedule (from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 1 to 3:30 pm), and Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings throughout July (from 11 am to 1 pm, for ages 10 to 13 ).
