The 'plastianimation' is a technique that can be as complex as its creators wants. The small detalis of shapes and movements to make the characters more plausible , could turn this work into a collection of small infernos that burns in the minds of the most motivated plastianimators.
But this is not the only way. The plastianimation could also be afford as an intuitive approach to let the fingers play free. Hablar en Arte has organized a workshop with the master of the Spanish Plastianimation, Pablo Llorens, a filmmaker from Alicante, during the days 21, 22 and 23rd of July.
Pablo Llorens, has won twice the Goya Award for the Best animated short with the 'El Enigma del chico croqueta' (2005) and "Caracol-col-col" (1996). He also has created an animation studio called Potens Plastianimation, located in Valencia, where he has concentrated more than 15 years of experience, giving birth to this odd and endearing matterial, the plastiline.
The workshop that took part in Camon Alicante seeks to provide a first contact with this short of animation and wonders how this matterial could come to life through stop-motion. After a brief introduction to the history of film animation with Plastiline the students begun to produce their own animated shorts. |
