  Lugares de Tránsito
Exchanges between Spanish and Latin-American artists from Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Panama, Guatemala, Miami / USA, Cuba and Spain
Until December 2011

“Lugares de Tránsito” is a new project that highlights photography in particular. It consists of creating artists’ residencies in which Spanish artists collaborate closely with their Latin-American counterparts in order to create new works, which will teach about the concept and value of “place” in their work.

“Lugares de Tránsito” searches to widen the horizon of 16 artists with a different historic, artistic and cultural background through bilateral exchanges between Latin-American and Spanish arists. With this artistic exchange we want to provoke certain experiences in the participating artists that provide a place for new experimental and communicative approaches in their creative process. The resulting works, will be shown in a group exhibition in Spain in 2011.

“Lugares de Tránsito” is a project produced by AECID.

“736 ideas 4 a dream”. Europe against social exclusion.
  Madrid-Barcelona

Hablar en Arte will coordinate the project 736 ideas 4 a dream in Madrid, directed by Transit Projects. This project is based on the dream of attaining a Europe free of social exclusion. In order to achieve this dream, our objective is to collect the ideas that will assist in this task. The number 736 refers to the active number of members of the European Parliament members when this project was launched. Each one of them will receive a book with the generated ideas from the European people and their representatives. The project will take place in six cities.

We believe there is much to be seen in the word EXCLUSION concerning prejudices and the unknown, to do this project, HeA has developed “Soy obra Tuya”, a series of activities based in the establishment of networks between communities that have a lot in common but do not know each other. This combination of activities has put in contact homeless people with adolescents that frequent the same places of the same neighborhood, forming empathy and ties between two similar realities that haven’t been seen before.

To develop its activities, Hablar en Arte has been in contact with the poet and performer Julio Jara, la Asoc. Detro Fuera, the shelter San Martín de Porres, the Iberian School and the San José School in Madrid.
