Hablar en Arte, since its conception in December 2001 to the present, has developed with two objectives in mind:
Production and coordination of accessible and free cultural events
• Annual Programs (series, festivals, etc)
• Expositions (production and commission)
• Events (design, organization and production of cultural projects)
Diffusion and promotion of contemporary art, music, and performing arts
• Didactic (educational programs in Museums and cultural centres)
• Publications (editions and resources)
• Communication and press (containing audio for radio and other alternative channels)
• Support of contemporary creation (convocations and courses)
• Day programs, courses and workshops (activities on artistic diffusion)
During its initial years, Hablar en Arte collaborated with prestigious cultural institutions such as: Círculo de Bellas Artes, Calcografía Nacional, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Fundación Lázaro Galdiano, Centro para la Difusión de la Música Contemporánea. The success of Hablar en Arte has been made posible by the gracious support of public institutions such as the ayuntamientos de Madrid y Cuenca , Fundación ICO, Comunidad de Madrid, Ministerio de Cultura, Unión Europea, embajadas de Francia y Polonia as well as private institutions such as Fundación Banco Santander, Fundación Telefónica, Instituto Cultural Rumano.
