DYNAMIC VISITS FOR SCHOOLS

MUSEO DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO
C/ Conde Duque, 9-11
28015 Madrid

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo and the Asociación Hablar en Arte have finished the program of dynamic school trips to the museum rooms. The activity, that began in October, was directed to students of primary education.

We are sure that children are the future, so the activity aims to give children their first contact with contemporary art through active participation. So, the rooms of the museum will be converted into a laboratory where participants can explore, discover and experience the secrets of contemporary art, the paper of the artist in our days, and the distinct languages and artistic movements of recent decades. Each student will also receive a workbook with which to follow the visits and expand on the supporting classroom activities .

In this occasion, the visits took place Thursdays until June 2009 . There was two daily groups, one at 10:00 and one at 11:30, and the activity was approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Following the museum's norms and the ensuring each group's comfort, the maximum number of participants was limited to 25 per group. The activity's resources and didactic materials were completely free, assuming that the school centers provide hired transport.
