A ciegas: Lectures in the Dark

Barcelona

CaixaForum Barcelona. Avenida Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8. Barcelona CaixaForum Lleida. Calle Blondel, 3. Lleida

A ciegas involves dramatized readings given by blind and visually impaired people. The show, which takes place in a complete blackout, is part of the “Nits d'estiu” programme at CaixaForum Barcelona and later travels to Caixaforum Lleida.
A ciegas aims to improve social inclusion for people who are completely or partially blind by means of a leisure activity in which they perform in an event suitable for all kinds of audiences. The intention is to encourage an exchange of experiences and sensory perception roles, making voice and hearing into a channel for communicating with words, seeking enjoyment and delight in them but with new kinds of sensations.
People who are blind or visually impaired read and orally dramatize their texts with the help of sensory, musical and sound effects.
