Through creating their own works, many artist have gained a solid practical knowledge with often unusual and remarkable methods. "Between beauty and utility" seeks to transfer this practical knowledge to a non-artist audience. After the workshop, all students will be able to take with them an object made on site with their new production knowledge.

Each workshop features a guest artist that, during one Saturday morning, will show to a small group of students his habitual production techniques.

Upcoming workshops:

Saturday November 15th, 2014, 10:00 h - 14:00 h: "Wooden motor bike" by Juan Caño
Saturday November 29th, 2014, 10:00 h - 14:00 h: "Tightrope mobile" by Alfredo Morte

All workshops will be held at Omnívoros, a private non-profit association  dedicated to provide specialized means of production to artists. Omnívoros has the means to work with metal and wood, resins, mechanics, electricity, electronics or photography . However, it stands by the maxim "workshop creates workshop": new demands and needs motivate the growth of the workshop in new areas or in terms of technical improvements.
