Residency program in cultural management of Planta Alta - hablarenarte and the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana.
The call aims to promote research and experimentation in the field of cultural management understood as a hybrid professional practice, transversal to the cultural ecosystem and located in a specific context.
Through this call we propose to revaluate the role of cultural management as a praxis that questions itself, that is capable of affecting and transforming itself, and whose exercise -closely linked to exploration and innovation- goes beyond the merely technical instruments of management.
We understand cultural management as an autonomous and relevant practice, with the capacity to generate critical theory and to produce thought through doing. Based on these premises, an individual or collective project will be selected to be developed in collaboration with Planta Alta residency program for a period of three months, which must include face-to-face phases in Madrid and may include virtual ones.
The residence is intended for individuals or groups with place of birth or living in the Valencia Region.
The selected project must be in dialogue with the active lines of work at Planta Alta so that although it can be developed autonomously is integrated into the production ecosystem and linked to the active agents involved in the the project. These lines include:
- New institutionalities
- Collaborative artistic practices
- Art and Education
- Ecology
- Practices of care
- Agency of old age and childhood through artistic practice
It is a requirement that the project to be developed within the framework of the residency can be included in Planta Alta’s Public Program. For more information and examples of events occurring at Planta Alta, check the dossier.
