Efe ’75. Guided tours and workshops for families with children between 6 and 12 years.

Madrid

Casa del Lector. Paseo de la Chopera, 14. Madrid

What is a news agency? How do you create a story? Would you like to know the secrets to become a real journalist? Now you can discover these and other issues with your family at Casa del Lector on the occasion of the temporary exhibition Efe'75. The history of the first global Spanish news agency.

By the means of photographs, documents, audio files and technical devices, the show follows the evolution of the Efe News Agency throughout its now 75 years of existence  - an evolution that is obviously closely connected to the development of contemporary journalism as well to the most important events of our recent history.

The educational program for families with children 6 to 12 years consists, first, of an active, guided tour through the exhibition, where we will discover the process of creating a story by converting us in real journalists. In the subsequent workshop, the participating families will form a huge newsdesk team in order to create a blog about issues that were touched during the guided tour. The blog will be online and will be continously updated during the duration of the exhibition.
