El Ranchito. Artists residencies at Matadero Madrid.

The El Ranchito residencies programme, organised by Matadero Madrid, started out in 2010 with the purpose of setting up collaborative networks and promoting artistic production by giving artists the chance to undertake residencies and providing work spaces.

In its first phase, hablarenarte: is taking part as residency programme advisor and also takes charge of managing the first artists’ stays by renting accommodation in the Legazpi neighbourhood. Its mission in the project is also focused on providing support and guidance to the invited artists, helping them to get first-hand knowledge about the institutions and professionals best suited to their needs and circumstances.
