Exhibition in Szczecin: The New Dictionary of Old Ideas II


Second exhibition of The New Dictionary of Old Ideas, now in Poland.

 

The New Dictionary of Old Ideas II, the second edition of the project's exhibition, opens  in June 18th, at Trafostacja Sztuki, Poland, after its debut in Prague. Motivated by the question Europe, territory, utopia or concept? the exhibition aims at taking a second look at the idea of Central Europe.


Nine artists work around confronting the geographic meaning, its sociopolitical, economical and cultural notions, from four different countries perspectives: Spain, Poland, Georgia and the Czech Republic: Erick Beltrán (Mexico/Spain), Verónica Lahitte (Argentina/Spain), Elena Lavellés (Spain), Irmina Rusicka (Poland), Katharina Stadler (Austria/Georgia), Sandro Sulaberidze & Nino Zirakashvili (Georgia) and Adéla Součková & Jiří Žák (Czech Republic). The exbibition is curated by Data Chigholashvili and Alba Folgado.
