Installation of Georges Rousse for La Noche en Blanco 2007

Madrid

Matadero Madrid. Paseo de la Chopera, 14. Madrid

In his works and interventions, Georges Rousse (París, 1947) plays with the perception of the viewer. As support he utilizes architecture, a decisive element in his work. Using his knowledge on perspective, he offers, through the application of colour, a trompe l'oeil, a form that is suspended in the architectonic space. The final creation can be perceived through the lens of the camera, which reduces the panorama to two dimensions.
