ARCOmadrid has appointed hablarenarte to organize once again the Museum Work Session, that aims to generate a networking opportunity for professionals of the contemporary art sector who are not directly involved in the commercial programme of the Fair.

The Museum Work Session creates subtle group dynamics, which help to generate opportunities for the participants to meet, exchange and discuss possible, future collaborations with their international colleagues.

In this year’s Session, the setup will be that of a relaxed breakfast buffet where the participants can mingle and talk freely during the two hours of the session. Besides the breakfast area, we have assigned five corners for more specific One-to-One meetings and group Meeting Points.

One-to-One meetings:
Taking into consideration special requests and the specific profiles and possible shared interests of the participants we have set up 30 One-to-One meetings in order to generate a more intense dialoge.

Meeting Points:
In order to engage all participants in group discussions, we have also set up five thematic Meeting Points. Those revolve around topics, which seem to be of shared interest among attendees. Those are:

Art, Territory and Environment: A Meeting Point for those interested in art practices that are concerned with the environment, both from an ecological and from a territorial point of view.

Co-production and exhibition exchange bursary: A Meeting Point for those interested in co-producing exhibitions and itinerating/hosting already produced shows.

Strategies for activating a collection: A Meeting Point for sharing strategies that serve the purpose of activating and disseminating an art collection.

Strategies for permeabilizing an institution: A Meeting Point for discussing strategies of the institution to enhance the relation with their public and the surrounding social context.

Art writing, publications and magazines: A Meeting Point for those who are concerned with art-writing and edition.

Organises: ARCOmadrid
With the help of: AC/E, Goethe Institut, Institute Français, Istituto Cultural Italiano, MECD
