RESOLUCIÓN COMPLEMENTO DIRECTO, II. Programa de apoyo a la formación en mediación cultural

Spain

RESOLUTION OF GRANTS
October the 7th, 2022

COMPLEMENTO DIRECTO is a scholarship program, accompanied by individual and collective mentoring, to support training in cultural mediation.

This initiative seeks to promote and consolidate specific studies related to this area, facilitating access to them. It aims to support - economically, but also from a personal perspective - future professionals who decide to train in cultural mediation, thus favoring the professionalization and legitimation of this practice whose importance is more relevant than ever at this time of economic and social crisis.

To achieve these objectives, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, in collaboration with hablarenarte, announce 14 scholarships, for an amount of € 2,200 each in order to provide financial aid to people interested in carrying out postgraduate studies (NOT PhD level) focusing on or linked to cultural mediation in universities or study centers in Spain, during the next academic year (2022-2023).

The selection of beneficiaries was organised in two phases:

In the first phase, a pre-jury made up of Cristina Sáez (Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation), Carmen Oviedo (Pedagogías Invisibles collective), Amalia Ruiz-Larrea (educator), Jesús Morate (AMECUM), Carlos Almela (hablarenarte) and  was formed, which selected a total of 26 finalists.

In the second phase, a jury composed of María Acaso (Museo Reina Sofía), Antonio Collados (Facultad de Bellas Artes, Universidad de Granada), Gemma Carbó (Director of the Museum of Rural Life and President of Interarts) and Maria Gabriela di Franco (Grantee of the 1st edution of the program) was formed to evaluate and select the 14 beneficiaries.
