(re)vuelta al patio (2024-25)
Condeduque Contemporary Culture Center, Madrid
September 2024 - May 2025
For the fifth consecutive year, (re)vuelta al patio proposes ways of inhabiting Condeduque from the perspective of childhood, claiming cultural institutions where boys and girls have space, voice, enjoyment and vote.
After exploring the sounds that surround us, being inspired by geometric shapes, investigating phenomena that seem impossible because they are so real, forming families as diverse as life itself, playing soccer with our own rules and making fruit salad with the rules, in this new edition we will continue imagining together how we want to enjoy the Central Patio of Condeduque.
Each of the game sessions is co-designed by the hablarenarte team and an artist, educator or social group especially linked to playful practices. In this way, we seek to connect with creators, families, audiences and diverse groups, inviting them to imagine and manage an open cultural programming in which play, criticism and joy go hand in hand.
Activity especially aimed at families with children between 3 and 8 years old, although smaller children and older ones are also very welcome.
SESSION 1. Minor architectures
September 28, 2024, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Central Courtyard
hablarenarte + román ledesma
How can we give new meaning to the now empty patio of the old Condeduque barracks? What gestures, dynamics or objects typical of architecture could help us appropriate this space? What do minors have to say about major architectures? In this first session of the season, we will create dream plans and architectural forms in which we would like to stay.
SESSION 2. Parkuir
October 26, 2024, 4:30 - 7:30pm, Central Courtyard
Come practice parkuir, a sport inspired by parkour, in which we play with architecture, gender and the body. Thus, we convert CondeDuque's patio into a hair salon, a changing room, a catwalk and an anti-gym. Bring your tracksuit, we will add the sparkle and fantasy.
SESSION 3: April 12, 2025
SESSION 4: May 10, 2025
