Summer Workshop for Teenagers at ICO Museum

Madrid

Museo ICO. Calle Zorrilla, 3. Madrid

Have you ever asked yourself how to construct the image of a city? Which building or what space would you think of,  for representing your city? How about imagining a city through photography?

During summer holidays, ICO Museum and hablarenarte: offer a new edition of architecture workshops for teenagers.

This year, the workshop “Urban utopics”, seeks rethinking the spaces and the architecture of a city, proposing new visions by looking through the lens of a camera. On the occasion of the temporary exhibition Fotografia y Arquitectura Moderna en España, 1925 – 1965, that takes place in the framework of the 18th edition of PHotoEspaña Festival, we want to explore from the viewpoint of photography, how the outlook on the city and its architecture is being tailored.

During four days, and through activities in the museum space and also in the city, we will draw new and critical re-interpretations of the definition of common and collective endeavour that is building the image of a city.
