Sweet Home 2018: presentations

Madrid

Intermediae, Terrario

June 12th from 7pm to 9:30pm. Public activity

Matadero Madrid  (Paseo de la Chopera 14) - Centro de Residencias Artísticas (Nave 16)

As a culmination of the two weeks of the Sweet Home research residency (May 30th to June 13th), we propose a sui generis presentation of the works of the residents, reflections or thoughts arising around the residency. The format is totally open and can go from the most traditional presentation to performances or games.

Sweet Home was born in 2013 as a research residency programme in domestic spaces that gives value and delivers new ways of doing and relating to each other by sharing our day-to-day life. Eigth international residents live for two weeks in the private homes of cultural agents from Madrid, who offer, in addition to the accommodation, the possibility of introducing the international residents to their closest cultural contexts, which generates a close and diversified dialogue between cultural agents from Madrid and abroad. In this edition the residency revolves for the first time around a specific theme: non-productivity.

The residents who will present their work are:

Clément Gagliano (France)
Work Hard! Play Hard! (Belarus)
Alice Shintani (Brazil)
Martinka Bobrikova & Óscar de Carmen (Norway)
Valentina Menz (Chile)
Dieuwertje Hehewerth (Holland)

You can find the Dossier of biographies of the participants at "more details" on the right

This edition of Sweet Home is supported by the Creation Grant of the Madrid City Council
